Road Safety
Roads are the most common mediums on which people move around in cities but unfortunately our city streets are also turning out to be the places that see a huge number of injuries and fatalities.
As per WHO the risk of dying in a road traffic crash is more than 3 times higher in low-income countries than in high-income countries. A lot of these of lives can be saved and injuries prevented with well-enforced road safety laws on speeding, drinking and driving, and use of seatbelts, child restraints and motorcycle helmets. Road design, improved vehicle standards and better emergency care also save many lives.
